Day 7

DAY 7
A picture of your most treasured item

My wedding rings.

These rings are special because they kinda symbolize a new start for us because they were given to us not long after I moved here and we kinda started over and became much more unified and strong. They dont replace my original set by any means, and I switch back and forth, but these mean a lot. The setting is from my Gramy and Grandpa Allan. My grandpa had to be stretched financially to get these for my Gramy but he knew it was exactly what she wanted. He was just that kind of man. Absolutely amazing. The diamond comes from my great great grandmothers ring. I was told that if you look through a Jewlers loop you can see my great great grandfathers initials etched in the diamond. The components of these rings have stood the test of time and cumulative they have seen 100+ years of marriage. I plan to hand them down to my daughter some day and pray for her marriage to also stand through the many storms of life and she continues a family legacy.

Day 4

DAY4
A picture of your favorite night

One of my favorite nights was our engagement dinner. We had such an amazing time with our close family and a couple friends. It was such good timing for everyone to show their love and support for Zack as well as he was headed back to TX and deployed 13 days later. This night is special because we had almost everyone we loved in one room. Doesn't happen often anymore but it meant a lot to us. Great memory!

DAY 2
A picture of you and the person you have been closest with the longest.

My mom...she knew me before I was born and loved me. She has been my rock through so many things. She has made us a close family even when were all apart. She is my biggest cheerleader but will still to this day guide me as her child. So many amazing things in my life are because of her. I hope to be a good mom like her some day. I love my "mummy" so much! Can't wait to see her soon.

30 days -- Day 1

A lot of people I know are doing a 30 day photo challenge. I think it is really fun so I thought I would join in too.

DAY 1
Choose a photo of yourself and 15 facts.

I literally have no pictures saved on my computer of just me. I don't know why, but I just don't. This is me and my cousin. For my blogger friends I'm the one on the left. This is us in Vegas December 2009. It is one of my favorites because I love my cousin and because this was the best time in Vegas I have ever had.

Facts...
1.I love cars. Love to look at them, read about them, most of all drive them. I used to test drive cars for fun. I love to shop for cars. I want another tahoe!!!
2.When I drive in the car by myself I sing at the top of my lung.
3. I obsessively count things or make everything symmetrical. OCD yes.
4. I have had 5 iPhones
5. Writing and music are an escape for me.
6. I have a bucket list that's pretty long that I plan to accomplish everything on.
7. I love to play games, especially scrabble. Words with friends is addicting.
8. I have my childrens names all picked out. I pray I can have children to give them to.
9. I have talented toes that can pick things up.
10. I like to cook. A lot.
11. I like to go to sleep early and wake up early.
12. I have 200+pairs of shoes
13. I love law, I wanted to be an attorney.
14. My dogs are like children. I talk to them like people.
15. 75% of the frames in my house are from the dollar store that I have painted and embellished.

This weekend

So today my inlaws get here for a long weekend with us. We are really excited to show them our little part of Texas and our home. We are going to spend some time in San Antonio which is one of my favorite cities in the country. So it should be a really great time. Pictures soon!

For all my infertility blogger friends...

I have been looking at quotes for a little project I have going on and I have found a quote that is our life quote...

Happy are those who dream dreams and are ready to pay the price to make them come true.
--Leon J. Suenes--

We all truly can relate to this on our baby journey. We literally dream our dream and pay of our hearts, minds, wallets and bodies for this dream to come true but it's worth every step. Hope you enjoy!

May God richly bless you & your husbands lives.

Guest room/office

I have been ridiculously organizing everything. Maybe it's pre-nesting so it's done before IVF I don't know but it is fun! I have every closet and almost every drawer and cabinet organized. It's nice! Feels so good to have everything done.

My inlaws are coming this weekend and we are spending some time in San Antonio and then they will come back to Killeen/Fort Hood with us. So I rearranged the room yesterday so it was more comfortable for them. The bed has been against that wall but that's not very comfy for 2 people. I love it now! I just love that room. It's so Girly and fun. I hope they feel comfy there! Can't wait for a fun weekend!

baby

Not to be a downer but I just read an article about a 14 year old girl in NY that put her baby in a plastic sack behind her bed. She apparently was pregnant and didn't tell anyone in her family and gave birth at home and left the baby to die. I feel SO sick to think CHILDREN are having children and then treating them like trash. There are perfectly good parents out there like Zack & I that would have cared for that baby. So sickening. Not the kind of story I needed today.

God give me strength. This journey is hard but not too hard for us to handle. Please give me hope.

Just a thought...

**This isn't directed at any one person and isn't meant to offend anyone it is simply series of thoughts that have been on my mind for weeks.**

I sometimes so wish I could shake people and make them appreciate what they have. We have given months upon months, countless miles to the specialist, who knows how much money, too many sleepless nights and millions of tears & prayers into trying to have a child. With that said, I am on the verge of losing my mind seeing people whine on Facebook about a sleepless night because a baby is kicking them or their midnight craving... At least you know you have a baby coming and it is OK because it is kicking. Please stop whining and hit up your fridge. I'm sure it gets old having swollen feet and little sleep but it is a very small price to pay for the blessing coming.

Be thankful for what you have people. An maybe stop complaining and start thanking God for the little person he is blessing you with.

Just a thought............

2. This week I'm grateful for another day, family coming soon, ivf starting the end of March

Military Spouse Friday Fill-In (2 days late)

Since most of the country has had nasty weather, what has your weather been like this week?
Well it has been filled with ice, then snow, then sunshine so very erratic.

What is/are your best money saving tip(s)?
Make a menu for your week and make your grocery list according to department in which you would find the item, IE: produce, bakery, meat, deli etc. If  you do this is gives you a better view of shopping out each item for which brand has the best deal.

What was your favorite vehicle you’ve ever owned?
It is a tie between my Lexus and my Tahoe. Both were absolutely amazing in completely different ways.

Fill in the blank: You might be a MilSpouse if….
You know what ACU, LES, MOS, and a million more acronyms stand for. If you fear everyday you will get deployment news. If you know what it's like to check your phone 5000 times a day and sleep with it by your head. Skype & Yahoo messenger are your addiction. You live somewhere there is ALWAYS a moving truck around. You get slightly misty eyed at the national anthem. You know the gross stench of combat boots. You know what it is like to hold your husbands hand as he talks about things most people don't even know happen in combat. Most of all you have the pride in saying your other half defends a nations freedom.
